IRS Will Do more Tax Audits the next two years
IRS will do more audits in the next two years if Bush has his way.
The President's budget request provides for additional agents to be hired, trained and unleashed on taxpayers. Congress will approve his proposal.
High-incomers will fell the pain... folks making over $100,000.
Audits of taxpayers in this category are scheduled to increase by 50% in each of the next two years, nearly tripling the number of examinations of upper-incomers. Agency will shift its focus away from lower-incomers.
